The purpose of the Consultation meetings is to give the client a basic overview/assessment of their company, artist /product, gameplan/strategy, along with a timeline. (Based on their budget and resources available to them)
The goal is to help them become competitive in today’s marketplace, thus giving them a clear scope/vision of how to accomplish their goals.
Artist Development gives the client the opportunity to work with a seasoned Executive/A&R to help oversee/manage the vision/direction of the music, style, concept, marketing of the artist. This, of course, will begin with assessing the artist’s catalog and the various tools having been put in place for the purpose of aiding the artist. while working closely with the company to achieve a marketable commodity.
In our Industry, it is noted that record deals are dead. Record companies are functioning more as marketing distribution branches. Labels are now seeking relationships with Independent labels, production companies, celebrity/seasoned producers/artists with a clear following or recognizable brand. Thus, it is the responsibility of the F.I.R.M to help assist each company that we work with in building a strong team, or help train or aid the team in place. They will be equipped to handle the administrative/management of a major project, in turn, making them an attractive partner for investors or major label/distribution company.
